… As court allows Pro-Obi rally in Lagos

The APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu Sunday evening visited Mrs. Eunice Uzor Kalu, mother of the former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
Details of the conversation which went on between Tinubu and Mrs Uzor-Kalu have not been disclosed, but Senator Kalu who took to his Twitter account Sunday night confirmed the visit.

Kalu described Tinubu as the incoming president of Nigeria in his tweet, saying, the APC presidential flagbearer “paid a courtesy call to my mother, Elder (Mrs) Eunice Uzor Kalu ( Odiukonamba).
“With Asiwaju was the current Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila”, the Senator added.
Meanwhile, a federal court in Lagos, which is the strong base of the APC candidate, has dismissed a suit which sought to prevent a pro-Peter Obi rally from taking place in Nigeria’s business capital.

At least 10 lawyers had gone to court to obtain an ex parte injunction preventing the Labour Party from holding a rally on October 1.
The lawyers claim the said rally if allowed to hold could rekindle the rebirth of the Endsars march in Lagos.
Thursday, the presiding judge, Justice Osiagor refused to grant the prayers, stating that there was no evidence that October 1st rally is an ENDSARS rally.
The court however adjourned the matter to 23rd of September 2022 for further hearing and directed the plaintiffs to put all the defendants/respondents on notice.
The Obi-dients have come under attack for soliciting funding from abroad. Opinions are however divided over the issue.
