Asari Dokubo stands up to Governor Fubara, warns of an experience worse than Boko Haram if….

Asari Dokubo dares to issue a stern warning to a serving Governor who spoke about the security architecture of his State and the stressed the need for the army to disarm non state actors who are carrying guns.
A former Niger Delta militant, Asari Dokubo who led the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force some years ago has raised eyebrows over comments purportedly made about him by the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
The Governor who spoke earlier when a delegation of military officers paid him a visit at Government House urged the armed forces to ensure that persons in the State who have no right to carry weapons are disarmed.
Fubara did not mention any name or group when he uttered those words, but Asari’s outburst in a video that has gone viral however suggests that he has strong reason to believe that the comments uttered by the Chief Executive were targeted at him.
As a result, Asari has asked Governor Siminalayi Fubara whose constitutional duty it is to keep Rivers people safe to avoid his path in the interest of peace.
Asari who did not appear ruffled said in pidgin English that something was obviously beating the drum for the State Governor.
But he observed metaphorically that drum sticks used to beat drums some of the time break into bits.
Noting that he has done nothing to warrant the kind of attention that is allegedly being focused on him by his State Governor, he warned that if Governor Fubara did not heed his plea to leave him alone, what will happen in the Rivers State would be worse than the experience that the nation is facing fighting Boko Haram.
Speaking on the Morning Show broadcast on Arise News, Dr Reuben Abati wondered how a non state actor would dare to address a governor of a State who enjoys immunity the way he did.
