Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is vowing at this time that his country will not relent in its war effort in Gaza until it has achieved “total victory”. Netanyahu who addressed a joint session of the US Congress amidst protests said the clash in the Middle East is between “barbarism and civilisation”.
He denied accusations that Israel is preventing aid supplies from getting to victims of the war in Gaza and accused Hamas of stealing aid meant for the Palestinian people.

Even with protests swirling both inside the chamber and outside the Capitol, the Israeli leader who sounded unapologetic criticised American college students’ pro-Palestinian protests, calling them “useful idiots” for Iran.
Netanyahu said it is essential for the United States, a country with far reaching interests in the Middle East, to continue its support for the Israeli war effort.
Somehow, the Israeli leader did not make any explicit references to a hostage/ceasefire deal that could end the fighting.
Washington has become increasingly worried about the way Netanyahu’s government has conducted the war in Gaza.
Reflecting this concern, a number of US lawmakers refused to attend the session with the Israeli Prime Minister.
Netanyahu is expected to meet with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris today before coming face to face with former President Donald Trump
on Friday.
