Senators in Nigeria have resolved to despatch a strong delegation to London to visit their incarcerated colleague, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
The decision to weigh in on the side of Ekweremadu who is being held by British authorities for alleged organ harvesting was taken after Senators met behind closed doors.
The Port Harcourt Telegraph reports that the closed door meeting which held Wednesday lasted for two hours.

Speaking afterwards, the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan said he has been in touch with the British High Commissioner in Nigeria.
He revealed he has received an appropriate brief on the situation and said a delegation of the Senate would depart Abuja for London to interface with their colleague.
Lawan said, “The Senate delegation will include members of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs who shall travel out in two days time.”
The President of the Senate expressed satisfaction with efforts by defence lawyers who are fighting to get Senator Ekweremadu and his wife off the hook.
Recall that Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives had urged Nigerian Embassy officials in the UK to work assiduously for the freedom of Senator Ekweremadu and his wife.
