Presidential-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the midst of his supporters soon after the aircraft that brought him back home touched down at the Abuja International.

Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who returned from abroad Monday, the 24th of April, 2023, says the plan to deliver a nation of renewed hope for all Nigerians is in the offing.

The winner of the 2023 presidential election who walked into the warm embrace of his political supporters at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, took to Twitter to speak to Nigerians.

He said he was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and support expressed by the Nigerian people.

Whilst Tinubu was out of the country, concerns were however raised about the state of his health, with the presidential campaign organization of Atiku Abubakar urging the Presidency to release details of the conversation which held between the President and the President-elect a few days ago.

“I am extremely excited to be back home”, “Tinubu who is preparing to be sworn in as the next NGR President remarked.

The Jagaban said he was “deeply humbled by the warm welcome” that he received on his return to Abuja.

Tinubu profusely thanked Nigerians for their support and love, saying his resolve to rekindle hope among many ordinary Nigerians remains strong and unshaken.

“Thank you all for your love and support”, the incoming president noted.

“Our promise to deliver a nation of Renewed Hope for all Nigerians remains in motion“, he added.

At about 4.30 Nigerian time an aircraft taxied to a stop on the tarmac. Its door opened.

Tinubu, dressed in a blue agbada, looked refreshed, healthy and strong as he stood at the door of the airliner that brought him back home and waved.

The enthusiastic crowd roared into life as they surged forward while Tinubu advanced.

Imbedded in the middle: Tinubu in the midst of his teeming supporters who turned out on Monday to welcome him.

They included state governors, federal lawmakers, and top party leaders who had gathered at the airport.

The President-elect who was out of the country for at least recuperating for one  month was accompanied by his wife Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

There are strong indications Tinubu may have used the opportunity of the trip to fine tune his plans and consult broadly as he tries to put together a team.

35 days actually separate the astute politician who has roots in every part of the country from his moment with history.
