Peter Obi, former presidential candidate of the Labour Party has again declared that a new Nigeria driven by economic production is possible.

Obi who formally dumped his political party platform to join the ADC in Enugu, capital of Enugu State, said he has decided to join the coalition put together by the ADC.

“We are going to be a family of change”, Obi remarked as he expressed his preference for the African Democratic Congress.

He criticized the tax policy of the Federal Government, saying that Tinubu’s tax policy is intended to further impoverish Nigerians.

According to him, the social contract on which taxation is anchored pre-supposes that the state would provide a productive environment that will help grow wealth, and a gainfully engaged and productive populace that will happily pay tax.

Obi pledged that the ADC would chase out those whose leadership have forced the Nigerian people and the nation to go through a crucible.

“This morning I resigned my membership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA”, Senator Enyinna Abaribe said in Enugu.

He said he had decided to Join the leader, Peter Obi in entering the ADC, assuring the people of the South East and other  Nigerians that the party would  rescue the country from hunger and ruin.
