Don’t be afraid, Shehu Sani tells Tinubu
… warns the PDP as a party may be blown away

Senator Shehu Sani, former representative of  the Kaduna people, bearing his mind on Arise Television Monday afternoon.

Senator Shehu Sani has urged the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who has raised the hopes of ordinary Nigerians with his outing so far to run the country without any iota of fear.

The Senator who represented Kaduna State in the red chamber  in the first four years of Buhari’s administration said while fielding questions on  Arise that most Nigerians are happy with the his courage and leadership style.

Speaking on Monday afternoon,  the Senator said most people, including those who did not support his presidential bid prior to the elections were satisfied with the steps that he has taken as the nation’s President and Commander-in-Chief.

He backed the President’s removal of petrol subsidy, saying he was glad that the Presidency, the NNPC and organised labour were currently dialoguing in an effort to deal with the issue of palliatives.

Sani observed that Tinubu’s choice of service chiefs and the manner he picked them has given the Nigerian people a sense of belonging.

He said there was a time in Nigeria’s  immediate past that service chiefs were selected from one side of the country.

Sani stressed that the choice of Senator Godswill Akpabio, a Christian from the South as the President of the Senate was a masterstroke.

He acknowledged that the decision not only helped to douse the tension raised by APC’s Muslim-Muslim ticket but also stabilised the country.

Sani however said it would be wrong to immasculate the opposition in a democracy through underhand attempts to choose minority leaders.

He noted that Tinubu had no reason to concern himself with who becomes the minority leader either in the Senate or the House of Representatives.

The PDP, he added, must be careful, warning there are chances that if it toys with the idea of who becomes the minority leader in the Senate or the House,  the party would be blown away completely.
