Atiku Compares Lives Lost To Rising Revenue Stats:Ā

“Nigerians would love to see this government exert pressure on insecurity much as they do on revenue generation.

“We cannot continue to lose our productive population to sundry criminalities and yet make bogus claims about reaching revenue targets, as though the lives of the workforce that produces the revenue don’t matter”, the PDP’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections remarked.

It would be the first time that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would draw a parallel between the administration’s track record in raising the level of revenue generation in the country and escalating killings in the North.

He noted that the tragedy in Adamawa his State has shown that “Many Nigerians remain vulnerable to violent attacks”, saying the situation in Wagga Mongono indicates that insecurity in the country “is far from being under control”.

Living In Bondage:

“Our people continue to live in fear and displacement, with no certain hope of solution at sight”, the ADC stalwart said of the event that took place in his backyard.

“As someone from Adamawa, this incident feels deeply personal. My heart goes out to the families who lost loved ones, to those who were injured, and to the entire community forced to seek refuge in the bushes for safety”, OBJ’s Vice emphasized.

At least four persons lost their lives when the insurgents struck on Tuesday while several others sustained injuries.

There are also reports that homes, shops, and a church in the community were set ablaze by the marauders who melted away after causing mayhem.

Atiku described it as “a painful reminder of the pervasive insecurity” which continues to dominate the attention of Nigerians at home and abroad.
