Stephen Ramos known as “Kiki” has debunked claims that Argentina, the Latin America football powerhouse beaten by Spain in the World Cup finals, is a racist country.
Argentina has come under intense fire, following allegations that it is racist, with many football buffs asking why the country has continued to parade all white team.
But Ramos who became the nation’s first Black international player in 44 years said he hasn’t experienced racism since moving to Argentina.
The 17-year-old winger entered the history books a couple of days ago after he debuted for Argentina’s Under-17 team in a 2-1 victory over Ecuador.
Ramos becomes the fourth Black player ever to represent La Albiceleste.
Ramos was adopted by an Argentine family after the devastating 2010 earthquake that claimed more than 300,000 lives.
