Akwa Ibom: State Executive Council Dissolved
● Eno orders Commissioners, Advisers, told to go home
By PHC Telegraph

All civil commissioners serving in Akwa Ibom State have been asked to go home by God Umo Eno.
Addressing a valedictory session at the Executive Council Chambers in Uyo on Friday, the Governor said it was time to thank the outgoing commissioners for their services
He said none of them underperformed in his assessment, saying they were dedicated and focused.
“All of you have delivered, and that’s why the Arise Agenda has succeeded,” the Akwa Ibom Governor remarked.
He however said, “we must come to the end of a season, start another season, and keep moving.”
Governor Eno admitted that there is a great need to bring in new faces and professionals to drive the state’s development agenda.
The Telegraph newspaper understands that several members of the Akwa Ibom State Executive Council had served in office for almost 10 years.
This would mean that most in this category served under the administration of former Governor Udom Emmanuel.
It is not yet known when the State Executive Council will be reconstituted, but sources indicate that lobbyists and opinion leaders may have gone to work to try and influence the governor’s choice of new members.
In line with tradition, the commissioners and advisers who were relieved of their jobs have handed over their notes to subordinate officers.
