Governor Fubara Commissions Ring Road

Governor Siminalayi Fubara has commission the six-kilometre Ihuowo-Ihuama Ring Road in the Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Performing the ceremony moments ago, the Governor recalled that “this corridor” a reference to the reconstructed road “was used by those who do not like what we are doing” to reek havoc.

He said that the ring road would further enhance security in the area and help to create easier access for the movement of people, goods and services.

Fubara said government is obligated to focus on its responsibility to the people, stating that it was thankfully fulfilling its duty.

He said thank you to the people and thank you to a man he described as his boss, noting that it was under him that he gained the exposure and the experience that has, prepared him for his current role.

He said that a day will come when he return to ask the Upata people for their understanding.

“We will come with that message very soon”, the governor said of his support for President Bola Tinubu”, “We have already started.”

According to him, “We will not lose focus in providing services” for  the benefit of the people.

“What will this administration be remembered for?”, Fubara asked. He said it would be remembered by the people of the State on the basis of the impact will have on the development process and the well-being of the masses.

You Have Broken  The Jinx – Upstate Chiefs 

The Chiefs and people of Upata Kingdom have hailed Governor Siminalayi Fubara for completing the six-kilometre Ihuowo-Ihuama Ring Road in Ahoada East.

The Chiefs said while presenting kola to the Governor and his entourage that the ring road project would be the first to be conceived and completed in the area by the State Government in the past 10 years, saying “you have broken the jinx”.

The Chiefs thanked the Governor for his commitment to the development of the Upata Kingdom, stressing that his gesture has proved how much he loves them.

They however made two requests – the electrification of their community and the construction of a road in Chief Ashiri’s village.

Also speaking, the Local Government Council Chairman lauded the Fubara government for its very impressive performance.
