Governor, Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has formally bowed to pressure from his admirers across the country, urging him to answer the call to rescue Nigeria.
Wike who was in Benue State Sunday officially declared his intention to vie for Nigeria’s number one job on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Addressing national delegates of the party who besieged at the Benue Government House, Wike said the PDP would deliver a crushing blow on the APC.
He asked delegates to be mindful of presidential aspirants who are busy flaunting the wealth of their parents and claiming to be founding father of the party.
Saying these people were responsible for defeat of the party in 2015, Wike declared: “Let these people who are interested in the presidency in PDP tell us their contributions.
“You claim to be one of the founding fathers of the party, but you have left and come back, you have become an ordinary person in the new PDP.
