Wike is in the PDP, I’m PDP – Ayo Fayose
By the Port Harcourt Telegraph
Ayo Fayose, former Governor of Ekiti State says as long as Governor Nyesom Wike is a member of the PDP, he will remain in the party.
Fayose who urged the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party to do what is right and end the brewing crisis within its midst described Wike as a kind hearted person who was fighting for the interest of the South.

Speaking while commissioning the Ultra – Modern Secondary at Obuama in the Degema Local Government Area, the former Governor reiterated that Wike’s contributions to the sustenance of the party cannot be wished away.
He referred to Governor Wike as the soul of the PDP, saying that regardless of what has transpired, particularly in the fight to protect Southern interests, it would be wise for members of the party to work together towards winning the forthcoming elections.
The former Ekiti State Governor re-emphasized that he is a PDP member, saying he has been unjustly accused of supporting the ambition of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“Wike is in PDP, I am in the PDP”, Fayose remarked, saying, “Let’s win together. ”
He stressed that he had only insisted that given the nature of Nigerian politics, it is the turn of the South to produce the next president.
Earlier, Governor Wike had replied critics who have claimed that all he is doing is to provide road infrastructure.

He said all through the week, his administration has commissioned facilities in the educational sector, assuring Nigerians that they would soon have the opportunity of seeing what is going on in the health sector.
He expressed surprise that the Obuama Ultra-modern secondary school has no hostels and assured the people that government would provide for the accommodation of students studying in the school.
It would be the first time after Governor Wike broke his silence that he made no comments associated with politics.
On Friday, Wike had met in Port Harcourt with the Sultan of Sokoto.
The meeting took place behind closed doors.
Details of what they discussed are not known, but there were however indications that the two men may have discussed the state of nation.
