Too Much Analysis Not Good Enough – Former Kano Governor
By Jonas Happy

Warring factions of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State have been told that the leadership of the ruling party has no intention whatsoever to encourage internal differences and confrontation.
The National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje who received members of the delegations from the two warring sides said too much analysis of issues could result in paralysis.
“We don’t want too much analysis because they say too much analysis leads to paralysis”, Ganduje said while speaking to one of the delegations.
“So give us a chance so that we can consult, so that we look at the constitution of APC and then wait and see how we can put things in order.”
Ganduje said the victory of the party in the presidential race was more of a miracle, given the fact that the APC lost everything.
Well informed sources within and outside the party agree that the miracle which gave the APC the requisite edge over its rivalsin the presidential race came through the votes delivered by Barrister Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Rivers State who is now the FCT Minister.
Supporters of Atiku Abubakar, PDP’s presidential candidate have squarely put the blame for their electoral defeat in Rivers State on Wike.

The records show that supporters of Peter Obi, the Labour Party candidate equally blamed the outgone governor for allegedly making it impossible for them to win.
Senator Magnus Abe of the Social Democratic Party has alluded to this fact in a comment.
These claims, analysts say, make it difficult for the pro-Amaechi group which is asking for some of inclusion to take part of the glory for Tinubu’s win in Rivers.
Tony Okocha, leader of a faction of the party appointed by the President as a member of the board of the NDDC told Ganduje in Abuja that Amaechi had ordered his supporters to vote for Atiku in the last election.
His visit to the National Secretariat of the APC came days after Tonye Cole, the party’s gubernatorial candidate led top kitchen cabinet members of the Amaechi camp to see Ganduje in Abuja.
Cole had expressed serious indignation on that occasion over the non extension of appointments of the Amaechi faction.
But Okocha revealed how the former Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi gave the order to his people to fail Tinubu.
The order, he further disclosed was allegedly issued at his residence in Port Harcourt during a meeting of stakeholders.
“It was handed down that Tinubu must fail in Rivers State”, Okocha told the APC National Chairman.
According to him, stakeholders of the party were mandated to take the message to their supporters “in the 6868 polling units, 319 wards, and 23 local government areas in Rivers State.”

Describing that decision as obnoxious, Okocha asked, “Will they deny ever attending such a meeting and receiving such dastardly instruction?”
The former Chief of Staff to Amaechi claimed he has pictorial, visual, and individual testimonies to support his assertion.
Emeka Beke, factional Chairman of the party in Rivers State admitted that such an order was given, but he said most of them resolved to work for Tinubu as loyal party men.
Ganduje who received both factions when they called on him has since called for calm, urging contending groups to give peace a chance.
“But what we are saying, yes, there is confusion in the party, but we don’t want members to overheat the system; we are focused, we are organised, and we work scientifically in politics.
“Therefore, you give us an enabling environment; give us a chance so that we can put a round peg in a round hole, a square peg in a square hole so that we maintain our dignity as a party.”
Of late, Wike’s popularity with Rivers APC members has grown sharply. Most APC bigwigs who used to sit at Rotimi Amaechi’s long table have abandoned him.
Most of them were part of the Rivers delegation that visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Villa recently.
