Nunieh debunks audit claim, goes for Akpabio

The Esther of Ogoniland and former Acting Managing Director of the NDDC,  Joi Nunieh has debunked claims that the forensic audit ordered by the President is on course.
Nunieh who appeared before the House Committee investigating the NDDC via a virtual  platform swore that the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs is deceiving everyone.
According to her, nothing is being done to carry out the directive of the President authorizing  a forensic audit of the activities of the NDDC.
The former NDDC boss accused the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio of carting away certain official files from the Commission.
She alleged Akpabio had insisted that unless she took an oath, she would not be able to keep her job.
From the run of events, the hunter has suddenly become hunted and the police are asking Nunieh, who may become a star witness, to have a chat with them.
Meanwhile,  Nunieh has taken up refuge in Government House, Port Harcourt, but it is difficult to say how much longer she would remain in the hands of her rescuer.
Governor Wike is under pressure at this time to turn the lady over to the police for questioning.
With the law obviously after her, Nunieh’s fate might hang in the balance. What separates her from being a guest of the police is the decision of the Rivers State Government and the timing of a decision it must definitely make.
