Senator Andrew Uchendu has urged Hon. Igo Aguma to join hands in ongoing efforts to rebuild the All Progressives Congress,  APC,  in Rivers State.
Senator Uchendu made the call while reacting to the ruling of Justice George Omereji.
“I thank Justice Omeriji and the Judiciary”, Chief Uchendu noted, “because (the) rule of law is a major canon in every democratic dispensation.”
” The Contempt of Court Charges brought against Dr. Sokonte Davies and I by Hon. Igo Aguma before Honourable Justice George Omereji”, the Senator explained, “was struck out for lack of diligent prosecution.
“I will therefore, once more, invite Hon. Igo Aguma my brother to join in our efforts to rebuild the Party while urging our teeming Party faithfuls to remain resolute and optimistic.”
While commending Justice George Omeriji for “standing firmly on the path of truth and justice”, Senator Uchendu stressed that the fact that “matter was struck out for lack of diligent prosecution is a clear indication that Hon. Igo Aguma knew very well that he was not on the side of  truth.”
He recalled that Justice Omeriji had on  June 9, 2020, ordered that Hon. Igo Aguma along with “other statutory members of the State Executive Council should go and rebuild the Party.”
Hon. Igo Aguma, the Senator added, “decided to do otherwise and we made sure that the import of Hon. Omereji’s judgement was not lost out on us.”
