Former Governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Tinubu who has been having a reflection over the #EndSars protest, says the Federal Government acted responsively in its handling the demonstrations, particularly when it was confronted with the five-point agenda of the protesters.

The Asiwaju of Lagos who was at the Government House in Ikeja to visit Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu told Channels Television that President Muhammadu Buhari reacted positively as soon as he got wind of the demands forwarded to the Lagos State Government by the protesters.

Stressing that government wholeheartedly accepted the demands put forward by the demonstrators, the Jagaban noted that the federal authorities quickly swung into action to implement them.

He said people had spread all kinds of fake news about his whereabouts and dismissed claims that he jetted out to France in the wake of the unrest in Lagos.

“I am the Asiwaju of Lagos”, Tinubu said in response to a question”, emphasizing that there was no time that he left the former federal capital to go anywhere.

The leader of the All Progressives Congress said at no time was he indifferent to the quest by the youths on the streets to press for better opportunities, but he noted, that he has been displeased and shocked by the carnage on the streets.

Describing Governor Sanwo-Olu as a youth, he said efforts were being made consciously to integrate the Nigerian youth into the system

Tinubu commiserated with the Government and people of Lagos State and urged moderation on all sides.

Ventures associated with the Tinubu name were targeted and razed. They included TVC television and. the Oriental Hotel.

The management of the television station disclosed through a series of tweets and posts on the social media that TVC has since resumed full broadcasting.

Recall that its facility was attacked by rioters who took advantage of a peaceful protest to target perceived enemies.
