The leader of the Independent Peoples of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has put a bounty on the head of the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.

The Biafran leader is offering the sum of N100 million to anyone who could bring him the head of the Rivers governor.

Kanu has been enraged by the decision taken by the Rivers State Government to proscribe IPOB and place a bounty on the head of one Mgbere who is being accused of  active participation in  IPOB affairs.

Although Mgbere has denied any involvement from an undisclosed location, Kanu’s reference to him as a Biafran in his latest offensive further complicates Mgbere’s case.

An attempt by one of the youth leaders present at the meeting called to address youths in Government House to enter a plea for mercy on behalf the Eleme young man who is now a fugitive was rebuffed.

The IPOB leader who called Wike unprintable names in a video which has gone viral said that he was placing N100 million as ransom on the governor because he had dared to announce a bounty of N50 million on a Biafran.

As things are, Rivers people are caught in a spider’s web, given what appears to be the insistence of Biafran agitators to turn their State into  a part of a yet to be established empire.
