Says Rivers youth will reap benefits

The Publisher of the Port Harcourt Telegraph and former Spokesman of the APC in Rivers State, Chief  Ogbonna Nwuke says the partnership between the State Government and Real Madrid Football Club would open new doors to football development.

Nwuke said in a statement that Governor Nyesom Wike has shown he has solid interest in youth development.

According to him, “Football has become a major money spinner. It is good that the Governor is thinking about cultivating the talent of youthful Rivers sons and daughters who have a passion for the game.

“It is obvious that the Football Academy built by this administration will raise a new generation of football champions who would make Nigeria and Africa proud in the near future.

“Academies all over the world do not produce only professionals, they groom individuals who turn out to be brand ambassadors and contribute positively to the growth of State and national economies through remittances in hard currency.

“It is indeed refreshing that Governor Nyesom Wike has initialed the deal on behalf of the State. We have no doubt that the deal would enable exceptional talents to play for the Real Madrid Football Club of the future.

He lauded the Governor, saying that the international plan put together by the Rivers State Government and the Management of the football club would be mutually beneficial.
