Manchester United a.k.a Red Devils this evening snatched a point off Premier
League leaders, Chelsea FC in a match played in London.
The game had opened on a cautious note, with both sides struggling most of the time for the control of the midfield.
It was Chelsea, playing at home, who had several scoring chances but scores remained 0 – 0 after the first half.
De Gea again and again refused to yield to pressure, parrying the ball away and pulling off stunning catches.
50 minutes into the game, shortly after play resumed, Sancho punished Chelsea on the counter, following a defensive error.
In the 60th, the Blues who had their backs to the wall came from behind to equalise at one – one through a penalty converted by Jorghinho.
Scores remained level at 1-1 after the centre ref blew the whistle signalling the end of the racy encounter.
It’s a big point – De Gea
De Gea who stood between Chelsea and victory and kept a clean sheet against Villarreal said of his side after the referee’s whistle:
“Well, I think we really improved against Villarreal,it was a big game for us; we won and we qualified and now we come to play against a very good team away from home.
“The effort of the team was very good. They had the best chances, to be honest. For me it’s not enough, a draw, we want to win all the time but we are in a tough moment.
“I’m proud of the effort of the team. I was feeling danger for nearly the whole game. We defended well, they missed big chances as well, missed the target, and then they gave us a chance and we scored.
“So like I say, it’s not enough to draw but at the moment, the way we are, it’s a big point.”
