As politicians crisscross the country in search of support, a group of Nigerians who want Governor Nyesom Wike to vie for the presidency says its members would buy the intent and nomination forms if he answers their call to join the race.
The group, Wike4Nigeria Support Group, which made the revelation in Kogi State said it has set aside money for the acquisition of the said forms ahead of the 2023 Presidential Election.
Its Director General, Olumeyan Oluwafemi made the revelation in a chat with newsmen shortly after inaugurating the Kogi State Chapter of The Wike4Nigeria Support Group.
Oluwafemi remarked, “We have beamed our searchlights on all the 2023 Presidential contenders in the Peoples Democratic Party, and arrived at the conclusion that Governor Wike has the capacity to unite and secure the country in view of his accomplishments in Rivers State.”
According to Oluwafemi, “Governor Wike is a man of vision, a transformer, a man who can unify the country and ensure growth and prosperity.”
He said it is the “reason why the Group plans to buy him the nomination and intent forms.”
The Wike4Nigeria Support Group revealed that after the inauguration of its offices in the 36 states, it would embark on a nationwide tour to drum support for Governor Nyesom Wike’s candidacy before the PDP Primaries.
“The forthcoming 2023 general election”, said Olumeyan, “is one that is a defining moment, reason why a credible person with capacity should be encouraged and allowed to lead the country from the woods to prosperity.”
They appealed to stakeholders, including youths, women and people living with disabilities to weigh in behind Wike, stressing that the Rivers Governor has all it takes to salvage the nation.
