Governor Nyesom Wike has accused the All Progressives Congress, APC of lacking effective organization and internal democracy.
Wike’s assessment of the APC is coming as policemen reportedly take over the party’s National Secretariat to prevent further breakdown in law and order.
Sani Bello of Niger State had moved into the party Secretariat as Buni’s men allegedly took to their heels.
Wike said at the commissioning of the Orugbum Crescent Project in Port Harcourt Monday, that what is currently playing out has proved that the APC which is unable to manage itself has nothing to offer Nigerians.
The Governor described the PDP as a solid party that is raising the hope of ordinary Nigerians who are victims of APC’s maladministration.
Wiike said it is clear that while the PDP, a party in opposition, succeeded in putting together a national party convention without stress, the APC is still struggling to hold its own in the midst of so much commotion.

Meanwhile, the status of the Buni led Caretaker Committee is now a subject of serious debate, given the sudden take over of the Secretariat by new faces.
Although Buni’s team is insisting that what Nigerians see as a change in guard in the APC is fake, there are reports that Governor Sani Bello of Niger State has held his first meeting as the new helmsman.
Strangely, the action of the Niger State Governor and those who may be behind him took place after President Muhammadu Buhari jetted out of the country.
Across the country, the sudden twist in the APC is now a major talking point in political circles.
Senator John James Akpanudoedehe, Secretary of the Caretaker Committee has denied claims that he and his colleagues have been toppled.
“Our attention has been drawn to sponsored media reports on an imaginary leadership change in the APC- CECPC.
“The media report is fake news and should be disregarded”, the National Secretary said in a statement.
“The APC is a progressive political party guided by rules, the party’s chief scribe remarked,”Leadership changes are not announced by ‘sources’ through name dropping in the media.
We urge our teeming supporters, members and indeed the general public to remain calm and support the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led APC CECPC conduct a rancour-free and credible National Convention deserving of our great party.”
Governor El-Rufai of Kaduna State has reportedly relocated to Abuja in order to ensure that Governor Buni who is being accused of too many things does not frustrate the conduct of the forthcoming convention.
It was not clear as at press time if El-Rufai and the Niger State Governor are in league.
But indications that are emerging suggest that the APC may be headed for another round of trouble if utmost care is not taken.
