Deceitful Lies: Wike urges Rivers people to chase out the APC

Governor Nyesom Wike has urged Rivers people, particularly women, to chase the APC out of office for failing to deliver on the promises made to the masses.

The Governor who spoke Tuesday, through his Deputy, Mrs Ipalibo Banigo at the Rumueme Civic Centre, congratulated women on the occasion of the International Women’s Day.

Wike said the time has come for women to punish the APC with their voters cards for allegedly engaging in anti-gender policies.

The Governor remarked that it was an irony for the leader of the APC in the State who has allegedly misled his supporters and starved them over the years to describe them as hungry people.

He recalled that there were promises that the Rivers State would be provided with a seaport and a railway line leading to the North.

Wike however observed that those promises have turned out to be deceitful lies peddled by the APC and its leadership to deceive the people.

Wike welcomed the returnees back to the fold, saying that the PDP was indeed their original home.

He noted that PDP leaders keep their promises and assured them that their interests would be fully accommodated.

Earlier, the State chairman, Ambassador Desmond Akawor disclosed that new party membership cards are available at the unit and ward levels.

He urged the returnees to ensure that they are properly registered in their areas even as he said that APC is officially dead in Obio/Akpor, Port Harcourt and Etche Local Government Areas
