Voting is still going on at the Eagle Square where APC delegates are still exercising their right to choose.

It is the special convention organized to select a presidential candidate via the ballot box.

Voting is proceeding slowly. Within the last hour, more states  have stepped into the voting arena. They are Cross River, Osun and Ogun.

About 2, 232 delegates are taking part in the exercise which has stretched through the night to Wednesday morning.

Starry-eyed officials are keeping watch over the process and ensuring a smooth conduct of the exercise which will produce a successor to the outgoing President.

There are projections that the vote sorting, counting of the votes and the announcement maybe done and dusted before noon.

Who would win the race? Will it be Vice President Osinbajo who put a superb performance last night or would it be Senator Bola Tinubu?

Tinubu… Waiting for the declaration that stands between him and destiny

It is almost certain the South West is poised to clinch the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress.

But the true heroes of the convention of the APC which will come to a close later today were Northern Governors. They insisted on a power shift to the South.

The Telegraph would stay with the story and serve readers with updates as they come.
