The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has officially resigned from office after losing the support of his own party.
The Prime Minister hinted in a rather short delivered Thursday that he was stepping aside at time so much is being accomplished by his administration, but he expressed hope about the advent of a golden era.
He thanked the British people for the opportunity he got to serve them, saying being Prime Minister was a job he cherished so much.
The Prime Minister noted in his speech that he had failed to persuade his colleagues who wanted him out of the driving seat to give him a chance to lead Britain through this very trying period.
Following his resignation, Boris will out from No 10 Downing to pave way for his successor.
In the meantime, the oitgone Prime Minister has lost the leadership of the Conservative and of government.
