Breaking: Wike denies going to court

Governor Nyesom Wike has denied dragging the PDP and its flagbearer, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to court over his emergence as a candidate in the May 29th National Convention of the party

The governor said while speaking at the commissioning of the State Assembly Quarters that supporters of the candidate to malign him in the eyes of the public.

He noted that all kinds of rumour were being peddled against him even when he has resolved to keep quiet.

Wike observed that prior to the rumour that he has gone to court, there were claims that he has ordered the removal of PDP flags from public places, including Government House.

The Governor expressed he will not be forced to react to these damaging claims by persons he described as associates of candidate Atiku.

He said while others were busy plotting how to win election, friends of Atiku were rather concentrating on how to the forthcoming elections as a divided house.
