Breaking: Legacy set to enter Rivers airspace
An aircraft, Embraer Legacy 600, belonging to the Rivers State Government which was purchased by Governor Peter Odili and abandoned for years in Germany is on its way back to the country.
The aircraft allegedly disappeared into tin air after the Amaechi administration left office.
The aircraft which is already airborne, sources in Wike’s administration say, will be expected to enter Nigeria’s airspace in the afternoon.
The exact time of arrival has not been disclosed, but top level officials in Port Harcourt are reportedly gearing up to receive the aircraft.
Recall that there have been claim and counter claims over what happened to the aircraft.
Records left behind by the Amaechi administration, according to officials serving under Governor Nyesom Wike, did not include an account of the whereabouts of the aircraft.
However, Governor Nyesom Wike in a bid to recover all assets belonging to Rivers State tracked Legacy to an airfield in Germany.
Legacy will be received on arrival in the afternoon at the International wing of the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa.
