Why I love Governor Wike – Adams Oshiomhole

Adams Oshiomole, former governor of Edo State, has urged Nigerians to take cognizance of the issues that are being seriously raised by powerful members of the PDP over the conduct of the flag bearer of the party.

Oshiomhole, a prominent leader of the APC campaign council who described Governor Nyesom as his man of the year while speaking on TVC News said the commitment of the Rivers Governor, particularly in speaking truth to power, cannot be faulted.

Noting that he is indeed impressed by  Governor Nyesom Wike’s agitation for balance and equity in the PDP, Oshiomhole explained that the Rivers strongman has exposed the lie surrounding the claim being made by Atiku Abubakar that he is a nationalist and a unifier.

Responding to questions put to him, the former Edo Governor stated that it is disgusting to have people who cannot be trusted in the way they relate to others saying they are bridge builders.

           Governor Nyesom Wike.

“Governor Nyesom Wike is my man of the year. I said Wike is my man of the year because in politics, people often dismiss their lies as mere politics when they are caught in the act.

“This makes you wonder if politics means not being able to speak the truth.

“They have a candidate who does not keep his words nor obey their party’s constitution regarding rotation.

Analyzing the chances of Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar as the next presidential election draws close, he noted that Nigerians have a first hand opportunity to see persons who are very undependable.

Hammering on the PDP, Oshiomhole remarked “They also have a running mate who will not obey a resolution that emanated from the Asaba Declaration.”

“Politics is about trust, and there is an issue if the leader can not be trusted”, the APC chieftain went on.

Oshiomhole added, “To me, Wike is saying that if the presidential candidate can not obey the constitution of his party at an early stage, why should his promises be trusted if he becomes the president and Commander-in-chief of the Armed forces?”
