How Atiku insulted President Jonathan – Gov Nyesom Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike spoke of the incident for the first time at the commissioning of the Akpabu – Itu-Umudioga road.
President Jonathan, according to Wike, went to the Dorchester Hotel in the United Kingdom to seek Atiku’s hand of fellowship.

Wike revealed that Atiku told the then serving president that his abdication of the ticket was the only condition for peace.
The leader of the G5 noted that people easily forget history in this country.
The Rivers Governor observed that no one has asked Atiku to relinquish the presidential ticket now that he has managed to have.
He said anxious party members, including those in the G5, have asked for Iyorchia Ayu to step aside as National Chairman in the interest of fairness, justice and equity.
But he noted that Atiku who had the temerity to tell a serving president to relinquish the party’s presidential ticket is refusing as a mere aspirant to listen to superior arguments.
