“Pepper them” , Ekpeye Chiefs urge Wike

Chiefs of the Ekpeye kingdom have urged Governor Nyesom Wike to “pepper” his opponents. saying they are solidly behind him.
The Eze Ekpeye in Council made the call while presenting kola to the Governor and members of his entourage on Wednesday during the commissioning of the newly dualized Ahoada road.

The Eze Ekpeye expressed delight over the leadership qualities of the Governor, saying the Ekpeye people were impressed with his political sagacity and his deeds in office.
Lauding Governor Wike for all that he has done for Ekpeye land, the Chiefs assured him of the unalloyed support of their people.
Under the administration of Governor Wike, the Ekpeye people now have six first class Chiefs while internal roads in Ahoada have been reconstructed and tarred.

Speaking at the occasion, Governor Wike announced Govrrnment’s official recognition of the stool of the Eze Ekpeye the Third, saying the presentation of his staff of office would take pla in Port Harcourt, the State capital.
While acknowledging that the PDP has never lost any election in the area, the Governor urged the people to vote for Siminialayi Fubara and the other candidates of the party in the forthcoming general elections.
Also yesterday, Governor Wike presented a vehicle to the Bishop of the Anglican Communion, noting that he was the only Bishop yet to receive a car.

The Port Harcourt Telegraph Correspondent reports that the people who turned out in their numbers danced and rejoiced.

Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Prince Chibudom Nwuche could not hold back his joy. He equally joined in the dancing.
Wike’s critics say he has concentrated development projects only in Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor Local Government Areas.
But what has been happening at the Rivers grassroots since the government began this phase of projects’ commissioning indicate those claims by his opponents are unfounded.
