Nwanosike
Chairman of the Ikwerre Local Government Council, Engineer Samuel Nwanosike has examined the role played by the former Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi towards the development of Ikwerre communities, particularly Ubima and Omuanwa.
Nwanosike in a welcome address that he presented on Monday during the official commissioning of a community secondary school at Omuanwa accused Amaechi of unduly neglecting his own people.
Omuanwa community is next door to Ubima where the current Minister of Transportation hails from.
‘He (Amaechi) abandoned us”, Sam Nwanosike said of the two-time Governor of Rivers State who has relocated to Abuja.
“He abandoned the people of Ubima and Omuanwa”, Nwanosike stressed for emphasis.
The Council Chairman acknowledged that Governor Nyesom Wike has done more for the people of Ikwerre Local Government Area than their own son did while in office as governor.
Nwanosike popularly known as ‘Ishi’ noted that under Wike’s watch a number of critical access roads as well as other developmental projects have been executed in the area.
He thanked the State Governor for the love shown to the people, adding that the Omuanwa community would remain ever grateful to the State Government for the bold step taken to put the school in place.
