The Oba of Ogbaland His Eminence, Eze (Dr.) Nwachukwu Obuoha Nnam-Obi III.has urged Governor Siminalayi Fubara to ignore the activities of naysayers and continue the task of providing infrastructure, for the benefit of the Rivers people. The Oba was speaking on Friday at the official commissioning of the Zonal Hospital, Omoku built by the state government.
Oba Nnam Obi said that although the governor barely has time, he could do so much more for Rivers people within the space of 12 months to the glory of God, stressing that God who gave him the opportunity to serve the State is not done with him.
He said real Rivers people remained proud of his accomplishments in office and would not fail even when he is gone to acknowledge his strides in service
Noting that the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area is an oil and gas hub, the traditional ruler stated that many had lost their lives because of poorly equipped medical facilities
The Oba thanked the State Governor for delivering the zonal hospital and other facilities and assured Fubara that he would lead a delegation of Ogba chiefs and people to Government House to thank him for all that he has done. According to him, a house is deemed to have been completed not by the one who started its construction but by the one who finished it.
Earlier, Governor Fubara had explained that the urge to provide quality infrastructure was anchored on the desire of his administration to transform the living conditions of the people.
He thanked the people for the cooperation that contractors who worked in their area received while executing their mandate.
