Breaking news: Sim promises security in Ogoni
Siminalayi Fubara, New face of the New Rivers VisionAs part of efforts to protect the Ogoni environment, the PDP flagbearer, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has promised to deal with security challenges facing the people.
The flagbearer said at the PDP rally in Bori that the present administration has built dual carriage ways that have changed the skyline of Khana and created unlimited access to three local government areas.
He said there was a need to defeat insecurity in that part of the State in order to keep the people safe.
He affirmed before the Ogoni people that he would fight vigorously to ensure they live in peace in a secure and conducive environment if elected governor.
The State Chairman of the party, Ambassador Desmond Akawor who presented flags to State House of Assembly Candidates from Khana said Fubara would build on the attainments of Governor Nyesom Wike.
The Director General of the Campaign Council, Bro Felix Obuah said the PDP would sweep the entire State, saying that Siminalayi Fubara is the most acceptable and competent candidate among all who are seeking to govern Rivers State.
Earlier, Ogoni leaders including Senator Barry Mpigi, Rep Dum Dekor, Emma Deeyah, a former member of the House of Reps and the Chairman of Khana Local Government Council had assured that they would overwhelmingly vote for Sim Fubara, and all the candidates of the PDP.
While Senator Mpigi said the Ogoni people and their Opobo neighbors share close ties, Dekor said the Ogoni people would remain solidly behind Governor Nyesom Wike.
