Etche ready for Wike, PDP
The PDP Campaign train which has been touring parts of the Rivers State will be stopping over today at Okehi in the Etche Local Government Area.
According to information reaching our news desk, Governor Nyesom Wike will be leading a powerful delegation which includes the PDP gubernatorial flagbearer, Siminalayi Fubara to the Etche rally.
Etche is predominantly PDP going by the records. Since 1999, PDP has won most, if not all the elections in Etcheland.
Our Correspondent who is already on ground reports that the venue of the event at the headquarters of the Etche Local Government is set.
Based on Feelers that are being received, our Correspondent says there are strong indications, that a large crowd of PDP members would be expected to participate in the rally..
An excited youth who has just turned 18 said, “This is the first election that I will vote in. I am very much excited about it. I want to see Governor Wike talk. I also want to listen to what Sim is planning to do here (Etche)”
Speaking in Bonny when the PDP campaigned there, Wike had clarified why the pary in Rivers State is not actively campaigning for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Presidential flag-bearer of the PDP.
Wike had said while campaigning for Rivers PDP candidates that Atiku has not asked for help.
Besides, he hinted that no understanding has been reached over contentious issues within the party which have led to sharp disagreements
