… Says any presidentialcandidate supporting the misery suffered by Nigerians is an enemy
By PHC Telegraph
A former Minister of Transport-ation, Dr Abiye Sekibo has been asked to tell the Nigerian people why he was sacked as a member of the Federal Executive Council during the Obasanjo administration.
Governor Nyesom Wike who called out Sekibo Saturday, at the Opobo Sandfill, venue of the flag off of the PDP campaign in the area said it would be nice for the forme Minister to tell Nigerians his side of the story.
Wike recalled that he served meritoriously and with integrity as a cabinet member under the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
When it was time for him to contest the gubernatorial elections in 2015, Wike recalled, he resigned honourably to join the race.
Further calling Sekibo out, Wike said Rivers people should know that he (Wike) is not among those who had at some point caused crisis in their local governments
He reiterated that such persons have the blood of the innocent on their hands and dared Dr. Sekibo, an Atiku ally, to make a similar assertion.
Enemies of Nigeria:
Campaigning for Rivers PDP candidates, Wike urged the Nigerian people not to vote for any presidential candidate that is supporting the skewed implementation of the currency redesign policy.
Wike said such a candidate is an enemy of the Nigerian people who at this time are finding it difficult to obtain money from anywhere with which to meet their needs and feed their families.
Standing on the side of the people, the Rivers Governor acknowledged that Nigerians are already plunged into inexplicable economic hardship, following the nonavailability of both the old and new Naira notes.
He wondered how any rational presidential candidate could openly support the way and manner the currency swap policy is being implemented, knowing fully well that a great majority of Nigerians are unable to buy food for their households and fuel for their cars.
Wike observed that President Muhammadu Buhari may not have been properly briefed on the hardship the Naira swap is causing Nigerians.
He said he was convinced that the President is already receiving appropriate feedbacks on the ill advised policy, saying he believed he would take steps to review the implementation process.
“Anybody who claims he loves Nigeria and is contesting election but is supporting this CBN policy, will you people vote for such person?
“It is only the enemies of Nigeria that are supporting this anti people policy. I believe President Muhammadu Buhari was not properly briefed about this policy.”
Plot To Hoist Interim Administration On The Nigerian People Revealed:
Governor Nyesom Wike and Siminalayi Fubara, PDP governorship candidate rub minds.
Governor Wike alleged that the policy is being implemented to provoke the civil populace into embarking on public protests.
When that happens, Wike insisted, it could be used as excuse to postpone the forthcoming election.
Pointing his finger at the cabal operating behind the scene, the Rivers strongman declared, that the plan was to prevent Nigerians from using the permanent voters cards to determine who their new leaders would be.
“The primary target of this policy is to provoke Nigerians to embark on civil disturbance which they will capitalise on to say they cannot conduct election”, Wike revealed
Thereafter, the Governor emphasized, they would “push for the enthronement of an interim government. No matter the provocation, I urge everyone to be calm. This election must hold because nothing will stop an Opobo man to become governor.”
