Rivers Governor-elect, Siminalayi Fubara has pledged to embark on the construction of the second phase of the Trans-Kalabari Highway.
Fubara who took to Twitter said the project would be accorded top priority attention when he assumes office after May 29.
He said he was determined to build “a better and greater state” when comes on board with his team.
“One promise we made during our campaigns is to initiate and complete phase two of the Trans-Kalabari Road”,the incoming Governor noted.
“This we shall do”, Fubara assured “when we come on board from May 29, 2023 as we embark on the journey of building a better and greater Rivers state of our dreams.”
The Port Harcourt Telegraph understands that the Sim Fubara administration which hopes to consolidate on the New Rivers Vision enunciated by Governor Nyesom Wike will focus intensely on the provision of infrastructure, especially the connection of the Riverine areas to the mainland parts of the State.
Recall that the first phase of the road project built by Governor Wike was commissioned last week by Seyi Makinde, Governor of Oyo State.
The new road which demonstrates the political will of the Wike administration leads to places like Krakrama where no motor car has been since the birth of Rivers State.
