Atiku, other PDP leaders displaying hatred for Nigeria – Former Rivers PDP Campaign Spokesman

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sends a ministerial list to the Senate depicting a strong desire to set up a unity government.
A former federal lawmaker from Rivers, Rt. Hon. Ogbonna Nwuke says the PDP at the national level is unfortunately displaying its hatred for the welfare and advancement of the Nigerian state.
Nwuke who was also the Spokesman of PDP Campaign Council in Rivers State said in a statement issued Sunday evening in Port Harcourt that there is no reason for the anti-Wike sentiments that are being encouraged by the party.
He disclosed that there were attempts by a “gang of confusionists” led by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the defeated candidate of the PDP in the last presidential election to move against former Governor Nyesom Wike who has an invitation from the administration of President Bola Tinubu to serve the nation as a minister.
“We have learnt that these characters led by the defeated candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar have been holding meetings on how to deal with a patriot and prominent nationalist whose interest it is to protect the unity and stability of our dear country.
“The decision by President Bola Tinubu to nominate men and women with proven track records, including former Governor Nyesom Wike, to serve the nation is being hailed by progressive minded Nigerians as a masterstroke in ongoing efforts to reclaim their country.
“It does appear that the only persons who do not like the bold move to rescue and unify Nigeria by President Bola Tinubu are those who through their reactions at a time of grave national emergency do not wish the country well”, Nwuke noted.
The one-time Commissioner for Commerce and Industry remarked, “The current APC government which is being hailed worldwide for its resolve to provide typical Nigerian solutions to Nigeria’s teething socio-economic and socio-political problems have decided to embark on a bi-partisan approach in order to rebrand and rebuild our great country.
“In doing so, the government has resolved to let bygones be bygones and extended its hand to Nigerians with different political persuasions to join” in the task of “totally liberating our country from the clutches of economic backwardness, political instability and dangerous insurgency.”
Former Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike of Rivers State. His inclusion on the list of Pres. Tinubu’s Ministers has sparked off a row in the PDP.
He wondered why the pro-Atiku group in the PDP is determined at a time of national emergency to fight Wike, the Nigerian people and the Tinubu government.
Despite the bad blood and resolve by haters of the Nigerian state, Nwuke stated that there is a broad understanding of the resolve by the Tinubu administration to salvage the country.
“Former Governor Wike who struggled to rebuild the PDP before the arrival of restive locusts; the good people of Nigeria who fought for justice, equity and fairness; and the nationalistic government headed by President Bola Tinubu; will never allow selfish and unpatriotic persons to derail the plan to salvage Nigeria.
“On the contrary, they are determined to leave Egypt with all who believe in the birth of a new Nigeria; all who respect the sovereignty of the Nigerian people; for the promised land.
“The interest of Nigeria is greater than that of an individual or a group of individuals. This fact was repeatedly stressed by former President Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida.
“No amount of blackmail, intimidation, acts of reactionary provocations and threats will therefore deter the former Governor of Rivers State, Barrister Nyesom Wike from responding to a call to service at a time of national emergency”, the former Spokesman stressed.
Atiku Abubakar, presidential flagbearer of the PDP now chases after the shadow of one-time of Rivers State Governor, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, ostensibly driven by a desire to get even.
Turning attention to a comment by Wike regarding the condition of the APC that a section of the PDP is chewing on, Nwuke emphasized that although Wike described it as a cancerous party, recent experience has shown that the cancer is not malignant.
“They accuse Wike of describing the APC as a cancerous party. As things are, the cancer suffered by the APC is yet to turn malignant. This means that the cancer afflicting the APC is not incurable.
“By the instrumentality of God’s intervention, Nigeria now has a new leader who through correctional surgery is committed to completely healing his party of cancer. This is the basis of the political engineering that President Tinubu has embarked on”, the Rivers politician added.

FUROR OVER PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU’S NOMINATION OF EX-GOVERNOR NYESOM WIKE AS MINISTER
Our attention has been drawn to attempts by some highly placed Nigerians acting under the aegis of the PDP to denigrate the former Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Barr. Nyesom Wike, CON, GSSRS, Life Bencher, POS Africa over his nomination as a Minister designate.
We have learnt that these characters led by the defeated candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar have been holding meetings on how to deal with a patriot and prominent nationalist whose interest it is to protect the unity and stability of our dear country.
The decision by President Bola Tinubu to nominate men and women with proven track records, including former Governor Nyesom Wike, to serve the nation is being hailed by progressive minded Nigerians as a masterstroke in ongoing efforts to reclaim their country.

Those who are gathering like vultures circling in the sky are the real haters and true enemies of Nigeria. They are the very ones who profit when the nation is on fire and the people suffer, and the architects of disunity, political instability, insecurity and the spread of unwarranted poverty.
They accuse Wike of describing the APC as a cancerous party. As things are the cancer suffered by the APC is yet to turn malignant. This means that the cancer afflicting the APC is not incurable.

They have quoted Ex-governor Wike as saying he will not be a Minister. The difference is that Nigeria has extended its hands of fellowship to all who love her. Nigeria is beckoning and any true patriot who believes in the historic mission of this country must answer the clarion call.
As members of the PDP in Rivers State, we are standing absolutely behind our leader. An attack on Wike is an attack on the rest of us. And we wish to remind the PDP of the danger in taking precipitate steps that may indeed mark the beginning of the end of a party that we have all labored to build.
Accordingly, we urge our resourceful, ebullient and indefatigable leader to disregard the hasty and irrational comments and reactions of those who are unashamed of their public display of hatred for the welfare of a nation that has given them just about everything, including enormous wealth, shelter and great influence.
Finally, we thank President Bola Tinubu for putting Nigeria first in his bold attempt to gather Nigerians of different shades of opinion in order to build a strong democracy and grow a resilient economy that is sustainable.
