Breaking News: Nigeria kicks Out Angola

● Zooms into the semi-finals

Victor Osimhen and a team mate celebrate Nigeria’s goal.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles has zoomed into the semi-final stage of the African Cup of Nations.

The Eagles defeated the Angolan national side by one goal to nothing in a match played at Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Nigeria superbly went to work from the blast of the whistle, narrowly missing a chance about three minutes into the first half to shoot into lead.

Goal mouth scramble which preceded the second half scored by Osimhen which was disallowed.

Nigeria’s first goal came in 41st minute through a Moses Simon pass which was converted into a goal by onrushing Ademola Lookman whose goal haul from two matches has risen to three.

A second goal scored by Victor Osimhen was disallowed. The referee ruled he was offside when the spot kick was taken.

Nigeria’s  safe hands, Stanley Nwabali, stood between the Angolans and goal, making daring saves as the Eagles away shots
