Marathoners Gather In Port Harcourt For The 2024 Rivers International Marathon

Lovers of sports and other residents in Port Harcourt will this morning have the opportunity to cheer long distance athletes who are participating in the 2024 edition of the Rivers International Marathon.

The take off point of the marathon race which is expected  to attract important dignitaries, including  Governor Siminalayi Fubara, is the Yakubu Gowon Stadium at Elekahia.

Hundreds of athletes, cheered by an equally enthusiastic crowd as they run through major streets, will participate in the event.

It will be the first of such marathons to take place in the State under the Fubara administration.
