Breaking news: NLC President Picked Up

President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Joe Ajaero has been taken into custody by operatives of the secret police.

It is not yet known if the NLC President who has been relatively under pressure of late was fleeing the country at the time of his arrest.

Reports reaching our news desk indicate Ajaero was intercepted at an airport while trying to travel out.

The Labour movement has not reacted since the arrest of its president. Our sources say Labour leaders are articulating their position.

The Department of State Services has been on the trail of several persons including Ajaero who have been accused of working to destabilize the nation
