Government Ekpemupolo known in Niger Delta circles and most parts of the nation as Tompolo, has dismissed reports claiming that he has issued a 21-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Tompolo, Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited said in reaction to social media reports that he has issued no such ultimatum.

According to a statement by his media consultant, Paul Bebenimibo, Tompolo referred to the said publication as false and mischievous.

The former freedom fighter who now protects oil pipelines in the Niger Delta emphasized that he has no connection whatsoever with the issue of Nnamdi Kanu or any related matter.

“We wish to state unequivocally that High Chief Ekpemupolo did not author or sanction the said publication. It is the handiwork of detractors attempting to discredit him because of his firm stance against illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta region.

Tompolo: Reiterates support for President Bola Tinubu.

“These individuals have failed and will continue to fail, as Tompolo remains committed to eradicating oil theft and pipeline vandalism,” the statement reads in part.

Tompolo eaffirmed his loyalty to Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his government, saying he is in full support of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He noted that he is an astute supporter of the efforts of the present administration and disclosed that he endorses the President’s bid for a second term in office.

The statement advised the Federal Government and the general public to disregard the concocted report released on social media.
