Wike: Makinde you’re dangerous

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and one-time Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has come up with a political asessment of his former ally, Governor Seyi Makinde, saying the Oyo strong man is “quiet” and “dangerous”.

Addressing news men in the preswnce of stakeholders, Tinubu’s FCT chief minister described Makinde as a person who is calm and quite.

But he noted that despite a facade that depicts the mind of the Oyo Governor  as an epitome of calmness, he has a mind that is calculated, thorough and decisive.

While fighting the PDP establishment in 2023, following the emergence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate, both men stood on the same side.

Not any more. In the fight for the salvation of the soul of the PDP, both men are now on different sides.

Wike described Makinde who has emerged as the powerful force behind  efforts to rescue the party as a “quiet but dangerous” political  figure.

Many people, Wike said, mistake Makinde’s calm disposition as  a mark of  weakness.

He However remarked that those who understand political power dynamics know that the Oyo governor is one of the most calculated players in Nigeria today.

“Seyi Makinde”, the FCT acknowledged, “you don’t talk, but you’re dangerous. You’re quiet but well calculated.”

Makinde had forced his way into the PDP National Secretariat despite the take over of party headquarters by scores of police operatives and Wike’s foot soldiers led by Senator Sam Anyanwu who is insisting that he will only step aside as National Secretary in December.
