By PHC Telegraph

Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara will later today at the executive chambers of Government House swear in two key officers of his administration.
They are the new Chief of Staff, Government House, and the Secretary to the State Government.
A Government statement issued in Port Harcourt announced that the governor has appointed Dr Dagogo S.A. Wokoma as the new Secretary to the State Government and Barrister Sunny Ewule as his Chief of Staff.
Dr Wokoma replaces Dr Anabraba as SSG while Ewule takes over the office of Chief of Staff from Chief Edison Ehie.
The appointments, the statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Rivers Governor disclosed “are with immediate effect.”
According to the statement, the new appointees “will be sworn in at 2:00 pm today, Thursday February 26, 2026 at the Executive Chamber of Government House, Port Harcourt. “
The fresh appointments made by Fubara are coming against the backdrop of a new peace arrangement struck by the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a deal observers say has effectively halted the political crisis that has been rocking Rivers State.
Government insiders reveal that the new appointments are likely to pave way for a wave of fresh appointments that are to come as governance takes off on a brand new note.
