As more Nigerians across the country continue to react to the death of a devout Catholic and mother of Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi,  a two-time Speaker and two-time Governor of Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has extended his heart – felt condolences to members of  the deceased family and the Ubima community
Fubara said in Port Harcourt through his spokesman Onwuka Nzeshi that the Rivers people, the Catholic Church, the Ubima community and the Amaechi family have suffered irreparable losses as a result of the demise of Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi.
Governor Fubara acknowledged that the loss of a person’s mother is a deeply painful experience, and urged the family to take solace in the good life Mama lived as well as the legacies she left behind.
He recalled the vital role that Amaechi’s mum “played in shaping the character and values of her family and the community at large.”
He prayed that the Almighty God would comfort the entire family at this difficult period and grant the soul of the departed a peaceful rest.
