PORT HARCOURT SET FOR JAMESON DISTILLERY EXPERIENCE
● Three-day festival opens tomorrow at Yakubu Gowon Stadium

All is now set for the opening of the Jameson Distillery on Tour experience in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The three-day event, which begins tomorrow, October 1, will run until October 3 at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Elekahia.
According to the organisers, the festival will bring together lovers of the Jameson brand, African music, food, games and entertainment in an atmosphere designed to celebrate culture, creativity and friendship.
Many prospective participants have already registered online for the event, which is being staged in Rivers State for the first time.
Similar editions of the Jameson Distillery experience have previously been held in Lagos and Abuja, attracting large numbers of young people, music enthusiasts and consumers of the brand.
When the Telegraph City Correspondent visited the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, finishing touches were being put in place by the organisers ahead of Thursday’s opening.
Workers and technical crews were seen preparing the venue, installing equipment and attending to other logistical arrangements required for the three-day festival.
The Port Harcourt edition is expected to feature live musical performances, whiskey education and tasting sessions, games, creative showcases and a variety of food offerings.
Organisers say the experience is intended to provide participants with an opportunity to connect with the Jameson brand while enjoying the distinctive music, food and creative energy for which Port Harcourt is known.
With registration gathering momentum and preparations at the venue nearing completion, attention is now turning to the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, where residents and visitors are expected to converge from Thursday for three days of music, food and fun.
