National attention has shifted to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja where Balarabe Lawal who suddenly slumped on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday has been resuscitated.
Doctors and other paramedical staff at the National Assembly were hurriedly called in as soon as the incident occurred.
Although the doors leading to the Senate chamber have not be thrown wide open after journalists and others who were present at the gallery during the screening were asked to leave, information that is filtering out suggest the nominee has gradually stabilized.

Lawal, a ministerial nominee from Kaduna State brought in as a last moment replacement for Nasir El-Rufai, unfortunately collapsed in front of TV cameras while undergoing screening.
It is now known that Balarabe was observing a fast as part of his religious obligation before he came face to face with the Senate.
The voice of the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio could be heard in the background asking for water and sugar required to resuscitate the nominee.
