The Chief of Staff to the President, ABBA Kyari has died.
It may not be unconnected with his reported exposure to the Coronavirus.
Friday night, news of his death spread through several Abuja circles with most persons reached by this publication saying they have heard about his demise.
Femi Adesina Special Adviser to the President confirmed the death of one of the most powerful men in Nigeria on Twitter.
“Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, passes on. May God rest his soul”, Adesina said.
He also disclosed that funeral arrangements would be announced soon
Kyari who emerged as one of the strongest men around President Muhammadu Buhari was among high brow officials at the Villa who tested positive to the virus.
Doctors have been battling to keep him alive, with some reportedly disclosing that Kyari could die as a result of several complications
