Breaking news: Nigeria captures Nnamdi Kanu

The Leader of the Independent Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been deported to Nigeria to face trial.

The Attorney General of the federation, Abubakar Malami who disclosed this said Kanu was intercepted on Sunday, the 27th of June, 2021.

The Federal Government had earlier enlisted the support of Interpol as well as the understanding of the British Government in repatriating the self acclaimed leader of Biafra.

Kanu would be re-arraigned before a federal high court to answer for his alleged roles in undermining the peace and security of Nigeria.

Recall that the leader of IPOB which is proscribed in Nigeria jumped bail after Senator Abaribe and others at large met the bail conditions for his release.

Thereafter, Kanu has purportedly waged a war against the country of his birth from his hideout in the United Kingdom.

His re-arrest comes in the wake of the ongoing offensive in the South East launched by the Federal Government designed to break the will of armed gangs that have been terrorizing security agencies and burning government establishments.
