The Governor of Bauchi State, Governor Bala Mohammed has described Governor Nyesom Wike as a performer, exemplary leader and the new face of democracy.
The Bauchi Governor who spoke at the Flagg off of the Rumukruoshe/Elimgbu flyover said that the Rivers government has beaten both Abuja and Lagos to the rush to provide better infrastructure.
Although the Bauchi Governor said he has indicated interest to vie for the presidency and cited projects in his State, he said he knew that Wike has done better than him.
Mohammed said it is amazing that with one year to go, Governor Wike who is serving his second tenure is delivering projects as if he is doing his very first tenure.

He referred to Wike as someone who is courageous, focused and determined, a person qualified and competent to help salvage Nigeria.
According to him, there is nothing Wike could offer him that he doesn’t have, but he said he was only stressing Wike’s fine points, saying whereas he wasn’t hero worshipping him, Rivers people are lucky to have such a wonderful leader.
Earlier, Governor Wike warned the Ikwerre people against what he referred to as incessant chieftaincy wrangling.
He said it was disheartening that rather maximise opportunity that is staring them in the face, they were rather interested in mundane issues.
He however warned Rumkrushe and Elimgbu chiefs to stay away from any thing which could impair the construction of the flyover project.

Commenting on the recent signing of the electoral Act, Wike hinted that henceforth people would have to show working.
Apparently happy that the new act would put an end to the use of security personnel to steal votes, he also said it would put a stop to a regime of false promises by some politicians..
He said Rivers people should be able to ask proponents of “promissory notes” what they have been able to do for them.
“You should be able to ask me what I have done for you”, Wike said, stressing that people should learn to ask questions.
Governor Wike explained that PDP Governors were busy fulfilling promises they made to the people adding this why Nigerians are optimistic the PDP will win the next general elections.
