Ex-militant leader, Asari Dokubo has come out against the presidential bid of Dr Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State, saying he isn’t eminently qualified to lead Nigeria.
Dokubo’s beef with the aspiration of the former governor is coming as aspirants across the country who are busy shopping for support in the race to the presidency intensify their bid.
The freedom fighter who claims Obi is not fit to be president, said the politician who is busy choking most Nigerians with tales of his visits to foreign lands could only record marks in two areas throughout his tenure as governor.
“I have visited Anambra State several times and I have not seen anything Peter Obi did that is different from digging boreholes and constructing roads. These are not things, please”, Asari told Arise Television.
“Somebody from Anambra State, with Onitsha, Nnewi and money from Abuja, Asari observed, “all you can see is erosion.”
“People keep saying he achieved something”, the Ijaw speaking Nigerian said in disgust, “I have been asking, what is the achievement?”
Insisting that the former Anambra State governor shouldn’t be considering offering himself for service at the presidential level, the Niger Deltan told Arise, “I cannot consider Peter Obi for presidency.”

“Go to Cape Verde which is not far from here”, Asari urged, “you will think that you are in Europe. These are African countries that are not producing anything.”
But he said “Somebody from Anambra State, with Onitsha, Nnewi and money”, couldn’t do much to put the State on the development map.
“Some of us have travelled to see things and that is why one musician said, “Travel and see. travel and see”. I cannot consider Peter Obi for presidency”, Asari declared.
Obi pushes on despite skating criticisms from men like Asari Dokubo. The soft – spoken businessman believes he has the capacity to lift Nigerians out of poverty.
While addressing the royal father’s and Presidents-General of 181 communities in the state at Government House, Awka, Obi said “After a careful study of the country, I noticed that we’re too divided.”
“I promise to lead a united and secure Nigeria to be able to attract foreign investments.
“The Nigeria I will lead will create jobs, boost our economy, improve education. If I have the opportunity, I will turn around the country for the better”, Obi who is running to be President stressed.
